Travel log #1: Pre-journey

I've taken to chronicling vacations, any traveling I do, and so forth, and this upcoming trip is pretty big. It'll be my first time out of N. America, and it will also mark the first time I've ever gone to the homeland. It's a pretty big adventure.
Unfortunately, I'm rather ill-prepared.
I left my luggage in San Diego, which means I have piles of clothes to pack in a very small space [edit: I used my mom's suitcase, which is TINY]. I also left a couple of important items in my apartment as well. Once again, I've rushed packing.
I naturally leave some things behinds me when I pack - that's how I know I'm going somewhere. Hopefully, since I already left stuff in San Diego, I won't have to forget something in Downey.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the trip. Like I said, I've never been, so it should be exciting!
